Collecting Vintage "Merry Go Round" Frosted Beverage Glasses

Horse Themed Vintage Hostess Beverage Sets

Lemonade or Iced Tea Glassware Sets were quite popular in the 1950s and 1960's when entertaining on the patio was what 50's moms did. Many glassware manufacturers used similar patterns, The Merry Go Round horse is often found on a frosted white glass in pastel colors or  olid colors such as red or gold.  Libbey produced many Merry Go Round Hostess sets with tall tumblers.(I'm not certain of the manufacturer of the glasses shown above). Usually sets came with 6 or 12 glasses. You will find similar sets selling for $36.00-45.00. A fabulous older book on vintage beverage glasses  is "The Decorated Tumbler" by Hazel Marie Weatherman.
