Retro 1970s Home Decorating Ideas

Disco Dancing Is Easy In A 1970's Decorated Home

Are you ready to put on your your platform shoes and do a little disco dancing in your orange, yellow and brown home? If you are experiencing cabin fever, perhaps you need to take a look at how Carin Brown keeps busy...she collects 1960s and 1970s kitchen utensils, housewares, textiles, canister sets, bowls, figurines, wooden accessories, dish towels, serving pieces and more.

Colorful 60s & 70s Collectibles

Wake up readers....its 2011 and it is time to make-over your home using colorful 60's and 70's plastics, textiles, accessories in ORANGE, YELLOW and BROWN colors. Those are the favorite colors of Carin Brown who moderates several Group Forums on I Antique Online.com. Carin can be found in the Disco Decade: 1970's Collectibles, Decor and Memorabilia Group and also in the Mid-Century Retro Modern Collectors Group Forum

Orange Bath Towels In A Retro 1970s Bathroom

Carin loves to decorate with collectibles from the 1960s and 1970's. In fact Carin has done her entire house in bold funky Sunflower yellow, bright orange, black and browns. Lookat Carin's bathroom with hanging orange bath towels and hand towels tucked into orange bowls sitting on the side of the tub.

Bright Orange Collectibles Make Carin Weak In The Knees

Carin says she loves orange and that it makes her weak in the knees. The Kitschy Collector's daughter says she is allergic to the color orange...it makes her queasy!
But not Carin, she is always buying orange collectibles such as the Rosti Mepal utensils, the Australia Spice rack and jars and the wonderful Fondue set shown.

Be sure to visit Carin at I Antique Online.com. You can also find 1960s and 1970s kitchen collectibles in my book, Hot Kitchen Collectibles of the 30s, 40s, 50s and Beyond, Second edition.
