Visiting The Wedding Window at Blue House: Nice Old Things in Canton, CT

When I stopped into "The Blue House: Nice Old Things" in Canton, CT over the weekend, Kim, the owner,  asked me to see her "Wedding window".   Kim created a display of lovely vintage and collectible glasswares, dishes, serving pieces that a new bride would enjoy. As June is a popuar wedding month, I thought the "Wedding window" was a terrific idea for an Antique booth in a mall or for a store. If you were setting up a similar dispslay in your shop.....what would you add to your display?

"Besides the household possessions you bring to your new husband, it's customary to bring a wardrobe that is sufficient to last you through the first season of your marriage".
Suggested Clothes For The New Bride:

A new going away dress or suit.

Half a dozen new nightgowns and slips.

A pretty new housecoat.

A Couple of new blouses.

More Wardrobe Ideas:

"Or it may be a start - from- scratch new wardrobe, including a dozen new outfits and a fur coat".

"Lingerie items may very well be given to you as shower presents but otherwise your personal trousseau, great or small, is provided by your family or yourself".
