Creating a Junk Wall Using Old Wooden Boxes and Collectibles

I found this really fun website called Organized Clutter which features a section on decorating with collectibles. I thought you might enjoy seeing a Junk Wall. I would love to do this in my home, but I just haven't gotten the nerve to carry it out get. Using old wooden boxes to create vignettes is really charming and leaves plenty of room to move things around when you feel like re-decorating. You not only get the inside of the box to use as a display space, but you can use the top of the box as well. This Junk Wall is organized quite well...I guess these gals who run this site really do specialize in   Organized Clutter!

Tilting An Old Fire Pail To Create A Funky Antique Display

Adding interest to an antique display just might mean, tilting your main object so ity is not in it's customary form. While browsing one of the indoor pavillions at a recent Antique show in Harwinton CT, I came across a gal who had plenty of surprises in her quirky antique booth. In the photo show, she took ano old tin Fire pail and presented it on a tilt to complete her funky display.

Attracting Interest With A Multi-Color Display of Depression Glassware

A Rainbow of Depression Glassware

You can be sure that when customers are strolling through a large Antique Mall looking for Depression Glass, that they will indeed stop by the booth shown in this photos.

This colorful array of vintage glassware is getting a lot of attention at The Collinsville Antiques Company of New Harftord. The collection, belongs to Elaine and David (Booth 74), former owners of The Plantsville General Store.

Elaine tells me she has boxes and boxes of goodies to put out in her new location, so stop by soon.

Funky Three Dimensional Wall Decor: Everything But The Kitsch N Sink:

Retro Hang-Up Series: Wall Decor Gone Mad

Take a look at this grand wall decor assemblage, a kitschy "collage" made of all things vintage and then some. Old chairs, "Paint By Number" paintings, bowls, mirrors and more are all arranged together and mounted on the wall.

This is out of control fun organized in a wonderful mix of objects of various shapes, textures, colors and uses. But as they say in the biz....."IT WORKS".

Come on, be honest, don't you want to try this at home?
And look how the objects are overlapped.....great for those of us who hate measuring and spacing out our frames etc.

To be honest, I do see a resemblance to this wall decor assemblage and the inside of my garage.
