Farmington Valley Arts Center, Avon CT Features "Connections" Art Show And "Sketch Book Project": Opening Friday, June 28, 2013, 5:00-8:00pm

"Connections" Art Show Opens Tonight At Farmington Valley Arts Center, Avon, CT

Tonight is the opening of two delightful shows at The Farmington Valley Arts Center, Avon, CT.  In the main Fisher Gallery, the professisonal artists who maintain studios at FVAC will be exhibiting selected pieces of art from their collections in a show called "Connections".  Tonights opening is from 5:00-8:00 pm and includes refreshments and live music.

Sketch Book Project

In the smaller Esther Drezner Gallery, a smaller  show called  the Sketch Book Project featuring artist sketch books submitted from young, teen and adult local and national artists.  You will also see some of  the completed artwork that was inspired by their sketches and swatches. The Esther Drezner Gallery is also a beautiful artisan gift shop selling handmade jewelry, textiles, glassware, pottery, artwork, gifts and more.

Arts Market In The Classroom

Be sure to also visit the Arts Market set up in the classroom which will offer jewelry, artwork, paintings, sculpture  and more and serioulsy discounted prices.

First Annual Juried Art Show Opens At Autumn Light Gallery, Avon, CT September 15th, 2012, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

I  wanted to be sure to encourage you to visit the opening reception at Autumn Light Gallery (Route 44), tomorrow night, Saturday September 15th , 2012, Avon, CT.

Sneak Preview Of Autumn Light Art Show

I got a chance to poke my head into the show and snap some photos for you. Chris and Jerry are really busy setting up this first annual juried art show , but they allowed the kitschy collector a glimpse.

 

Paintings,  Sculpture, Stained Glass, Textiles, Assemblage Art At Autumn Light Gallery

The show is in one portion of the gallery and will run from September 15th, 2012 through October 12th, 2012.
Refreshments will be served. Chris and Jerry are donating a portion of the profits of the show to Hartford  Camp Courant.

In addition to this special show, visitors will find a beautifully displayed gallery of pottery, paintings,   sculpture,  dolls, textiles, stained glass, abstracts, assemblage art,  functional objet d'art, jewelry, cards and more.
