Using Instagram To Promote Your Antique Business

Promoting Your Antique Business Using Instagram

I'm probably one of the last people to discover Instagram as a great way to promote my antique business Kitsch n Stuff and my website I Antique Online.com, but in case there are any other slow to catch on folks out there, this post is for you. Disclaimer: Do not read further if you already spend to much time online because you will have a hard time staying away form Instagram once you get started.

What Antique Collectors Need To Know About Instagram

Instagram is a photo and video sharing social network service with a lot in common as Pinterest.com showcasing lots of terrific photos of some of your favorite antiques, collecitbles and art. You will find the app in the App store. You can load on your iPhone as well as on your iPad.

The difference is that baby boomers are loving Pinterest, while your kids are probably living on Instagram because of it's immediate impact  Don't get me wrong there are plenty of young people using both services so why not reach out to everyone. Even if promoting a business is not a goal for you, you will have so much fun seeing so many collectors and dealers sharing photos of their antiques and collectibles. You have no idea how many Pyrex collectors are out there!  Hashtags are nothing to be afraid of.

Don't Be Afraid of Hashtags

All they really are are tags or categories. So if you post a picture of a vintage tablecloths you might add the hashtag #vintagetablecloth as well as #collectibles, #vintage kitchen.
