Did you know that vintage Flamingos are very collectible? These long necked pink birds known for standing on one leg are very social and congregate in colonies in Central and South America, the West Indies and the Galapagos Islands.

Flamingo collectibles are as hot as the climates these birds enjoy. You will find lots of vintage souvenirs with Flamingo designs from ceramic knick knacks to kitchenware, textiles, decorative accessories. Prices vary according to the manufacture and rarity of object. While most Flamingo kitsch can be purchased from $5.00-25.00, you will also find additional Flamingo collectibles which are priced much higher such as the California Pottery birds shown in this post.
As with any popular collectible, when there is demand, the price climbs. And these pink pals are attracting a lot of interest. Flamingos are adored by many collectors young and old who are charmed by these funky Retro birds which were popular in the 1950s.

For some reason, flamingos always remind me of "Fantasy Island". Remember that show?! And of course, "The Love Boat." : )
