"Feed Me Bubbe" was created by a young man named Avrom from Massachusetts, who made it his mission to document the wonderful recipes his beloved grandma had treated the family to for years and years.
Now "Feed Me Bubbe" has blossomed into an online cooking show shown on Jewish Life T.V. on Monday evenings at 8:00 P.M. and is attracting delighted audiences from around the world who can't get enough of Bubbe's old fashioned approach to traditional Jewish recipes.
Grandson Avrom Produces "Feed Me Bubbe"
The interesting part of the story is that Avrom (Bubbe's grandson), finished school and was having a hard time finding a job, so he decided to launch his very own career creating the "Feed Me Bubbe" brand .And so Avrom built a website "Feed Me Bubbe" , began producing a series of Cooking Shows, , created Bubbe merchandise and now in the works is a cookbook based on Bubbe's recipes.
Feed Me Bubbe Has Become A Successful Brand
It's very hard to catch up with Avrom, because when he isn't in his Bubbe's kitchen filming her making Chicken Soup or Luchen Kugel Cheese Blintzes or Mandel Bread etc., Avrom is taking a meeting with an agent or T-shirt designer or reporter etc. Avrom is busier than he ever imagined and Bubbe is delighted to have so much of Avrom's company.
Watch Bubbe Cook In 34 Different Jewish Cooking Lessons
To date there are 34 cooking lessons filmed which can be viewed on the website Feed Me Bubbe. What is great about Avrom's idea to feature his Bubbe is that she is able to teach today's young Jewish cooks how to make recipes they heard about but may not have the background to prepare. And Bubbe can help interfaith couples also learn the basics of Jewish cooking.
And Avrom has made sure to keep his website engaging...encouraging people to write in questions that Bubbe answers.
Bubbe is A Great Cooking Teacher
I have watched many of Bubbe's demonstrations and they are wonderful...easy to watch and understand ! Bubbe is everything you would expect from an old fashioned Jewish grandma...she is adorable, funny, genuine, and patient.
So Much Love In Bubbe's Kitchen
You can just feel the love in the room as Avrom is filming his Bubbe and she is leaving behind the legacy of her talents as a Bubbe extraordinaire! Bubbe reminds me so much of my own grandma Sophie who I wrote about in my book, Hot Kitchen and Home Collectibles of the 30s, 40s, 50s.
