Starch, too, is a no-no for storage. Sellers often think they're doing a favor by starching and ironing before shipping but I don't think so.
Cherry Pie and Roseshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15528735015507268515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8177819142952066428.post-57613435714293484702013-03-14T11:15:03.742-04:002013-03-14T11:15:03.742-04:00While this may seem like a good idea, it's not...While this may seem like a good idea, it's not. Wood is very acidic and over time will yellow the linens and cause degradation. Starch is also a no-no because it attracts tiny bugs that like to eat the starch, and consequently the linens too!Dorothy Arnoldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02458952173738553611noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8177819142952066428.post-16188009395002842472013-02-10T16:51:28.145-05:002013-02-10T16:51:28.145-05:00It's probably a good thing that you have to re...It's probably a good thing that you have to re-fold and stack the linens, as the wood can stain them along the folded edge.rock fabric scissorshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18058426278412001503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8177819142952066428.post-49829865295193479902013-02-10T16:50:42.650-05:002013-02-10T16:50:42.650-05:00It's probably a good thing that you have to re...It's probably a good thing that you have to re-fold and stack them, as the wood can stain linens along the folded edge.rock fabric scissorshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18058426278412001503noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8177819142952066428.post-58616276661164132402013-02-10T08:16:30.398-05:002013-02-10T08:16:30.398-05:00I love those old wooden boxes. The boxes do double duty for hauling stuff to the flea market, and then displaying it once I get there. They are sturdy enough for the heavier items like books and tools. Never thought of using them for linens, but I will do that in the future!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8177819142952066428.post-5471625401116731442013-02-09T20:03:26.418-05:002013-02-09T20:03:26.418-05:00The tablecloths look so pretty like that. I am always very careful when I look at things, but I have noticed in our booth that sometimes other people can be much less considerate!
So, they don't always stay looking neat and prettily stacked up for very long! Oh, well...at least people are looking at them, right?Heidi Annhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08666588441951832108noreply@blogger.com
